2019NESR’s Environmental Management System aims to minimize the negative impact of operations on the environment and improve overall sustainability. NESR in Kuwait maintains full compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and is striving to reduce overall environmental footprint in the country. In 2019, Kuwait offices and bases restricted the use of single-use plastic materials and increased awareness among employees on the negative impact of single-use plastic and the benefits of ecofriendly alternatives. Moreover, responsible water management is one of NESR’s key environmental focus areas so in order to preserve freshwater resources in Kuwait, such as groundwater and reservoirs, wastewater is disposed at designated locations to be recycled and reused. Finally, NESR Kuwait recycles all used oil in operations and converts it into a reusable form of oil to reduce pollution of soil & water and improve energy efficiency.
